The hCG diet, introduced by Dr. Simeons, can offer quick weight loss, but it is more than that, it is a way of thinking about and consuming food. It is a new way of thinking about health.

Dr. Simeons Pounds and Inches is a very strict very low calorie diet (VLCD). It consists of daily oral hCG drops of 125 iu’s-200 iu’s, 500 calories a day, 100 grams of protein 2x a day, 1 small fruit or 4-6 small strawberries 2x a day, 2 servings of vegetables, not mixed, and a salad with no dressing, no oils and nothing else added.

You stay on the diet, 26 days or 42 days then move to stabilization for 3 weeks. Then you have what we like to call mini maintenance time that varies then start another complete round (Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3) until you have lost the desired weight. Many hCG dieters refer to the various phases as P1, P2, P3 to indicate what point they are at in their hCG diet weight loss journey.
